The IB recently hosted UCAS for the first webinar of the 2025-2026 applicant cycle. Beth Shotton, IB Recognition Manager, welcomed Dr Jo Saxton, UCAS CEO, and Ben Jordan, Director of Strategy to discuss key challenges for IB and international applicants. Topics included confirmation timing, mixed qualification recognition, and UCAS support services.
Key Data from 2025 UCAS Entry Cycle
Ben Jordan shared headline statistics and trends from the latest cycle. The presentation covered domicile patterns, subject demand, and IB student experiences. International growth and subject preferences were highlighted.
Strong IB Student Outcomes
14,670 students with IB diplomas secured university places. Non-EU students formed the largest group. This represents an increase of approximately 1,200 IB students from the previous year.
