The event is open to IB educators responsible for the delivery of DP Global Politics in their IB settings, as well as Heads of Department.
Seminar Description:
This event will be a facilitated conversation on preparation for Global Politics Paper 3. The conversation will cover:
Compare and contrast the Paper 3 requirements to previous HL presentation objectives;
Analysing the key requirements of sample questions provided on specimen material and identify potential approaches to answering them;
Brainstorming and mapping out suitable case studies for several topic areas and how they can connect across and between HL political challenges with a special emphasis on European/UK cases.
As this event is a conversation among collagues, participants will be expected to actively engage and share their experiences of guide delivery.

Limited to one registration per school. There are a limited number of spaces available, if sufficient interest is expressed a second date may be opened or additional spaces added.

The Global Politics Teachers’ Conversation will be led by Martin Keon, Head of IB Programme and Diploma Programme Coordinator at British Georgian Academy in Tbilisi, Georgia. Martin has taught in Georgia, Hungary and Dubai, and mainly teaches Global Politics and Business Management in the DP. He has been teaching the IB Global Politics course since its pilot phase in 2014. Martin has examined several components of Global Politics, and was a HL extension moderator on the previous syllabus. He holds several IBEN roles in the MYP and DP from workshop leader to consultant and evaluation leader. His passion is for politics and conceptual teaching and learning.
