University of Warwick: where professional learning feels different
For many years, Warwick Conferences has been the home of our in-person IB Authorised workshops. Our continued partnership is deliberate. It reflects what we know matters to IB educators: a learning environment that is academically grounded, professionally run, and thoughtfully aligned with shared values.
As we prepare for our 12–14 June 2026 workshops at the Radcliffe Conference Centre, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what makes Warwick a consistently strong setting for professional learning.
A higher education environment that adds depth to professional learning
Set within a top 10 UK university, the University of Warwick offers delegates more than a conference venue. Being based on an active university campus gives participants the opportunity to experience a higher education environment with excellent academic and professional facilities, offering a distinctive insight into the UK higher education context.
For many delegates, this setting adds an extra layer to the workshop experience — learning alongside peers in a space where teaching, research and global engagement are central. Access to campus facilities, combined with the option to explore the university through guided tours or informal walks between sessions, contributes to a sense of being part of a wider academic community.
A shared and practical commitment to sustainability
We know that in-person professional learning remains highly valued by our delegates, particularly for the opportunities it creates to collaborate, reflect and build international professional networks. At the same time, we are equally aware of the concern many educators have about the environmental impact of travelling for workshops.
Warwick Conferences’ commitment to sustainability has long been an important reason we continue to work with them. The university takes a proactive and transparent approach to reducing the environmental impact of events hosted on campus — from using local suppliers to calculating the carbon footprint of catering menus, and continually reviewing operational practices to support more sustainable event delivery. This allows delegates to attend with confidence that sustainability is being considered in practical, meaningful ways.
An all-in-one space that supports focus and connection
The Radcliffe Conference Centre offers a fully integrated environment, bringing together training spaces, accommodation and catering in one location. This all-in-one model removes many of the logistical pressures that can distract from professional learning, allowing delegates to remain focused on the workshops themselves.
Purpose-built teaching rooms support the interactive, collaborative approach that underpins our workshops, while shared accommodation and dining spaces create natural opportunities for informal conversation and professional connection beyond the sessions.
A familiar setting that continues to deliver
Our workshops are designed for small groups and led by IB-certified, highly experienced practitioners, creating space for meaningful dialogue and shared reflection. Warwick’s consistency, quality and attention to detail continue to support this approach, which is why many delegates return year after year.
