Workshop Overview:

How can we support student inquiry? Students’ own curiosity provides the most effective provocation for learning that is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant. Investigate how using an inquiry-based pedagogy has the capacity to lead students to a deeper understanding of concepts through the construction of new knowledge. Inquire into specific strategies and questions relating to an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. Discover how the reflective process is an essential component in becoming a life-long learner.

Is this workshop for me?

Category 3 workshops vary in terms of audience. Some are for more experienced educators who want to enhance their professional development portfolios. Others are for all educators – those with and those without a great deal of experience.

Participants will engage in detailed discussions on topics such as learning theory, pedagogy, assessment, and other scholarly interests.

These workshops also cover subject-specific content, administrative and pedagogical leadership, and subject-specific seminars on changes to the IB curriculum.
