Welcome back & future plans

On behalf of the Officers and Directors of IBSCA I would like to welcome you to the first update of the 2021/2 academic year.  We are all very excited about the coming year and looking forward to the slow return to normality that I know you are all anticipating.  This will mean a slow re-introduction of face-to-face events but also developing the incredibly strong networks which were forged in adversity over the last 18 months.

As we look forward to the coming year it is important that we continue to work on linking schools and living up to our goal of 'Connecting Schools'.  If you haven't already done so please register your staff on our CP/DP Subject Communities (English, Mathematics, Biology, Visual Arts and Psychology).  These exist to provide a network for teachers across IBSCA member schools and our aim is to develop these to offer the CPD and resources which teachers need.

I would also like to encourage you to engage with our Regional Hubs.  If you are not currently a member of one of the Hubs and would like to find out more information please contact us by email. Our plan is to introduce a fourth Hub to build on the excellent work undertaken by the Kent/SEast, Midlands and Northern Hubs.  At this stage, these will continue to operate virtually, but as we move forward I am hopeful that we can re-introduce face-to-face events.

We hope that you have a safe, healthy and prosperous year and please do contact us if there is anything IBSCA can do to help you and your sschool communities.
