IB Schools and Colleges Association

New Chief Executive for the International Baccalaureate Schools and Colleges Association of UK and Ireland (IBSCA)

IBSCA is very pleased to announce that Richard Markham will be its new CEO from September, 2019, in succession to Robert Tibbott, who is retiring. Richard arrives with strong IBSCA and IB credentials, having served on IBSCA’s steering committee since 2013, when he became Principal of Hockerill Anglo-European College, overseeing a flourishing DP and MYP curriculum. Prior to that Richard was a DP coordinator and has been teaching IB History since 2009. He comments on his appointment: ‘The role that IBSCA plays is vital for schools which share a passion for the IB, and I am looking forward to continuing the excellent work that the Association has undertaken since it was formed.’

Sian Carr, Chair of IBSCA’s Directors and Executive Principal of Skinners Kent Academy, Tunbridge Wells, says: ‘We are delighted to have appointed Richard Markham from a strong field of applicants. IBSCA’s future is secure in his capable and experienced hands’.
