Fettes College

Fettes College, founded in 1870, is one of the UK’s leading co-educational boarding schools for children aged 7-18. Out of a total school roll of 730,there are 550 students in the Senior School (13-18 years), of whom 75% are boarders, and 180 students in the Preparatory School (7-13 years) of whom 30% are boarders.  Uniquely situated in 90 acres of extensive grounds and woodland close to the heart of Edinburgh, Fettes enjoys a reputation for excellent academic results, the highest level of pastoral care and a proud sporting tradition.

Fettes became an IB World School in December 2005 and the IB Diploma Programme is now well established with excellent results (the average points score in May 2011 was 36.4).
