The IBSCA Autumn Conference will be taking place on Tuesday 3rd October this year, and it will be held at Aston University in Birmingham. The conference has been designed, as ever, to offer a range of topics and presenters, all of whom are experienced IB practitioners and experts in their field. The conference is appropriate for all experienced and new DP coordinators, and will also be a great opportunity to share ideas and meet like-minded people.
We are delighted to be joined by Jenny Gillett, IB Senior Curriculum Strand Manager, who will present an update on ATL and elements of the core.
Conference delegates will have the opportunity to meet Gillian Hargreaves, BBC Education Correspondent, who will be giving a keynote presentation, as will Robert Clark from CEM, Durham.
The schedule has several breakout sessions regarding the new geography curriculum, an update on mathematics and the new curriculum for psychology and Group 2.
Dr Peter Fidczuk will be giving an update on all his work with universities and an overview on destinations for 2017. Jonathan Newell will be doing a breakout session, Coherence in the Curriculum, which I know will be of interest to you.
