Letter of invitation from Bob Reed, Chair, IBSCA Steering Committee

7th April 2004

URGENT DUE TO EXPECTED DEMAND

Dear  Colleague,

Reference: IBSCA Annual Conference 2004: Tomlinson and Walker

I am very pleased to invite you to our annual conference which has been re-scheduled and will now take place on Monday 14 June 2004 from 9.00 a.m. at the Barber-Surgeons’ Hall, London EC2 (next to the Museum of London).  IBSCA member schools will have priority booking but places should also be available for schools joining the programmes or expressing an interest.  We are very pleased that our principal speakers will be Mike Tomlinson (Chair of the 14-19 Reform) and George Walker (Director General of the IBO).

Initially, tickets will be limited to 2 per school but you are welcome to request further tickets should they become available.  We believe that the conference will be particularly of interest to Heads of School, IB Co-ordinators, senior staff and those Board Members or school owners who have an active interest, both in the development of the IB and its place within the context of UK reforms.

The cost per delegate will be £80 for IBSCA members and £120 for non members. This will include a programme pack, lunch and other light refreshments. The full details of the programme are enclosed together with a booking sheet, which should be completed and returned no later than 4 May 2004 to Sue Austin (IBSCA Secretary) at the address shown.

I look forward to meeting you at the conference and if, in the meantime, you have any questions about the arrangements please contact me or any of the other Steering Committee members named on this letter.

Yours sincerely,

Bob Reed
Chair
